Organise exams with categories
Group papers into categories, then filter the list down to one of them.
Once a full season is in, the list gets long. Categories are how you cut it back down.
What a category is
A named group of exams. Most people use one of two schemes:
- By stage: Mocks, Prelims, Finals, Orals. Good when everything happens in distinct blocks.
- By subject: Chemistry, History, Maths. Good when you want to pull up everything for one subject at a time.
Some regions get a starter set already made. South African accounts, for example, begin with Prelims, Trials, June Exams, Finals, Orals and Tests.
Create one
Go to Settings → Categories, tap +, name it, and give it a colour.
Put exams in it
Open an exam and tap Category, or use the assign screen to do several at once.
Filter the list
Tap All Exams at the top left of your list and pick a category. The list narrows to just those papers. Tap it again and choose All Exams to go back.
Categories are a Premium feature, and they also drive the Category Countdown widget. See Widgets: every type at a glance.
